Citrus 'Sublime'
Description: Citrus 'Sublime' is a versatile and highly productive lime variety known for its vigorous growth and high yield of juicy, aromatic fruits. This evergreen shrub or small tree features dense, glossy green foliage and fragrant white flowers, making it both an ornamental and functional addition to gardens and landscapes.
Flowers: The flowers of Citrus 'Sublime' are small, white, and fragrant, appearing in clusters during the spring. These blossoms not only add beauty to the plant but also attract pollinators like bees.
Foliage: The foliage consists of dark green, glossy leaves that are oval-shaped and have a slightly leathery texture. The dense, evergreen leaves provide year-round interest and a lush, green backdrop to the plant.
Fruit: Citrus 'Sublime' produces medium-sized, round to slightly oval limes with a thin, smooth rind that is bright green when ripe. The flesh is juicy, aromatic, and has a tangy, acidic flavour, perfect for culinary uses and beverages. The fruit typically matures from late spring to early summer.
Form and Size: Citrus 'Sublime' can grow as a shrub or small tree, reaching up to 2-3 meters in height and spread. It has an upright, bushy growth habit and can be pruned to maintain a desired shape and size.

- Temperature: Thrives in warm, subtropical to tropical climates. Hardy in USDA zones 9-11. Protect from frost and cold temperatures.
- Humidity: Prefers moderate humidity but can tolerate a range of humidity levels.
Uses: Citrus 'Sublime' is grown primarily for its fruit, which is used in cooking, baking, beverages, and garnishes. The plant is also used ornamentally in gardens and landscapes for its attractive foliage, fragrant flowers, and colorful fruit. It can be grown in containers, making it suitable for patios and small gardens.
Maintenance: This plant requires regular maintenance to ensure healthy growth and optimal fruit production. Prune annually to shape the plant and remove dead or diseased branches. Fertilize with a balanced citrus fertilizer during the growing season. Mulch around the base to conserve moisture and suppress weeds.
